"Hi, I'm Lauren

​

I grew up in Olathe, and have been here ever since. I LOVE my home town.

​

I'm married to my best friend/other half, my family is my support team and my favorite people. I knew I loved hairstyling since 3rd grade. I started with braiding my older sister's hair, then doing hers and all of our friends hair for school dances, and soon realized how passionate I was about this industry.

​

After high school I decided to try college (even though I knew I wanted to be a cosmetologist). I played volleyball for Manhattan Christian College as a freshman. However, two days before I left for my sophomore year, I had a serious accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other serious injuries. I spent almost a month at KU Med (two of those weeks in the ICU). After this life changing event, it was clear to me and my family, that the Lord had other plans for me and I was on my way to Cosmetology school! I attended the Bellus Academy in Manhattan, KS and have been a licensed cosmetologist since August 2017!
